Walker was established as a city in 1962 and is located in Kent County. It offers prime agricultural farmlands and orchards, rolling hills and woodlands, manufacturing and a major retail corridor on Alpine. The Grand River flows through part of Walker. Lush country areas and well-kept subdivisions make it a wonderful place to live. School districts: Comstock Park Public Schools, Grand Rapids Public Schools, Grandville Public Schools, and Kenowa Hills Public Schools.
